Two of my friends got married this week. So my question is why are they are
getting married , it is because of there desire to start the so called "wonder full, beautiful u for me and i for u life " or it is just a social obligation . Marriage is social contract / an bonding made in heaven ? But one thing is for sure the couples are given more respect than as bachelor .

Bride putting on such heavy make up, it is look sick. Why would they put on such heavy make when they are going to stand and sweat?. I wonder whether they remember people being introduced to them.
why the need to call so many people at the marriage?. What is
the statement are they making? it is beyond me to understand.

Marriage and the grand occasion following it is lovely thing that can happen in one's life. we call so many ppl to introduce those two as couples - it those couples are important rather than guests ,so if couple dont remember those guests ,its nothing big loss.
social obligation- all kapsa. all ur heart, u want to lead your life with ur gal right?
Marriage is a place, in which u declare that u ll stand for someone for rest of their life. It's a declaration and we call many people to make the declaration stronger.
There is a difference in declaring something to 10 people and 1000 people right. Money and jewellery are mere accesories to it.....
A declaration is different from commitment. Commitment is of utmost important. Just because ur parents tells u and u marry, that is not the way it should be. Some marry because they are bored to very high extent. Most marry because of parental pressure rather parents feel they have fulfilled a social obligation or they will not be able to face the social prejudice .
