I had dreamed of going to US for higher studies and it never happened. I was not eager to go to any onsite because of my notion of the job being done there.
After i joined my current company, i visited US four times, each of approximately four weeks. The first visit was purely because i got visa while rest of team's was rejected. I had almost nil idea of how i was going to complete the job in all the visit. Luckily in all the visit some jobs did get completed and the completed projected was delivered.
I meet a whole crowd of people who where engineers each having a experience of 15 years and still happy to working as engineers. All them treated us good and it was humbling experience. That experience added to my conviction that not to go by what media project it is better to have a talk directly.
